Is it really so long since mummy let me on her pc? Daddy's broke down so, of course he got mummy's while his was being fixed so I guess it is. Anyway . . .
*Woof **Growl* and *Bark* to all of you who read my blog I know I am the only reason that you log onto here so personally I think mummy has been a bit silly, maybe a weekly column, or even daily??
An interesting thing appened whilst Mummy and Daddy where at the Hereford show, they met a lady who could talk to me, sort of in my head, animal communication she called it. Well she was nice enough, but she agreed with mummy that I was not telling the whole truth and that maybe she shouldn't follow my suggestion that she could "safely leave strong smelling food in the caravan whilst she was out and I wouldn't touch it". Mind you I got my own back by telling the lady about the time mummy had to go out of the caravan with virtually no clothes on to get me back from a tent where they DID leave strong smelling food lying around. She did laugh!
'Fraid I'm still quite nervous of people I don't know and once or twice have been in trouble for barking at / chasing / frightening folks . . . oh well, I am very sorry.
Mummy's just called me a good girl so I had to go and lick her nose mmmmmmmmm :o)
April
Well now I've seen everything.
A shop, a shop with a traffic cone stuck to the side of it
I of course barked like mad - a shop with a red and whte traffic-y-thingy stuck there. 'S'not nat'ral.
Mummy, as usual told me to stop being so daft and said the shop was a barbers.
Still don't understand - it LOOKED like a traffic cone!
March
I've had a FANTASTIC weekend.
Mummy and Daddy went to visit Auntie Izzy and Uncle Andy (both of who think I'm great). I had a fab time looking out of their balcony, barking at cats and eating a cooked breakfast -yup Aunty Izzy actually gave me sausages and egg for breakfast. I'm trying to get mummy to do the same on a daily basis (though maybe more sausages and some bacon?). Thank you Izzy and Andy for a wonderful time.
February
Well, we are now somewhere in Staffordshire, so Mummy tells me, and I seem to be doing security an awful lot so not a lot to report very recently. We did, however go to see Alice in the IoM again (and went to see Aunty Ros & Uncle Mark on the way). Mummy didn't take ANY photographs - no not one so I can't show you the wonderful time I had - afraid you'll have to take my word for it. I miss Alice and can't wait to see her again (in June I'm told). Anyway right now I'm cuddled up to Mummy on the sofa - it's a good life!
January 2008
*Woof* A very Happy New Year to all my fans - Mummy tells me that people she has never ever met are asking her how I am - because they've been following my very exciting lfe on here so *woof* and *friendly ggrrrrs* to all of you.
I must say that life has been s much better since we left that horrible car park in the middle of that big city - it wasn't fun but since then I've been to visit Aunty Joanne and annoyed her cats (*snigger*). I also went to see Aunty Ros and Uncle Mark they have a great floor that I can skid on it was such fun! I do like them. Also Aunty Ros gave me some goose which was lovely - she wasn't soooo impressed when I climbed up on her kitchen side to try and get some more but . . . oh well
December
Dreaming . . . of rabbits, and fields, and playing ball with daddy and mummy, and eating . . . and chewing the power plugs off the front of caravans. Erm, it WAS fun though the way it slowly disintergrated. Daddy, yes DADDY found it and was most unhappy with me. I guess I deserved the telling off I got. Most unusual for Daddy to tell me off, so I've been creeping to Mummy for the last day or two.
November
Oh WHAT fun! Here I am stuck on Security (AGAIN) Whilst they're in a show. And they've parked in the middle of a concrete field with loads of other vehicles so I can't have a run. I blame mummy myself (Daddy can do no wrong). Now this is supposed to be a race course - a place where animals can run so something's wrong isn't it?
ps . . . Daddy says I'm a good girl so I guess I am - I wont say what Mummy called me when she got home yesterday to find I'd eaten all the margarine - well if they will leave it up on the side where I have to climb to get it. *woof *giggle *woof
October . . . (still)
Well we're now on a farm in Chesterfield . . . funny chickeny things everwhere hmmm not sure about 'em - "free-rangers" they're called 'though they don't look like any sort of rangers that I've ever seen. They're not wearing hats or uniforms to start with.
Anyway I've been told (by bossy-boots-mummy) that I have to apologise for being too friendly with that lady at Kempton Park this morning. Daddy and that man picked her up again fairly easily I really WAS only trying to say hello so sorr-woof-rry.
Later in September
Oh dear . . . Mummy's in a mood, I don't think she's very happy with the drive down here. And I won the barking game. (the one where Mummy and/or I have to woof first at yellow jackets and/or traffic cones) She just didnt seem to be in the mood to join in. Anyway I'VE eaten so that's ok then :O)
A Sunday in September
Well Hoooo-woof-raaay. AT last I've been allowed on the computer to update you. I do wish they'd leave it on while they're out for me - honestly the stories I could tell you if I wasn't being watched! - For instance mummy pranged the car on Friday night I'll bet that she hasn't mentioned THAT in her blog.
Anyway yesterday was pretty boring, I was on security in the caravan whilst they were out enjoying themselves again. I know they SAY they're working - hmmm not so sure myself. Today's been good though I've been running around the caravan site this morning with daddy - very good fun. One thing though - someone, someone has put a trafic cone on the site. Anyway I went to check it but it wasn't doing anything so I left it alone - not before I'd pooed on it though. He-he-woof-he.
Tuesday
Well I’ve been to see Alice, who is my favourite bean in the whole world next to Daddy & Mummy and I had a Wooftastic time. Running on beaches. Pulling on my lead, disobeying everyone, barking at nothing - as I said Wooftastic.
SO good in fact that I an now exhausted, lying next to Daddy on the couch, too tired to go out, too tired to play, too tired to eat . . .well too tired to go out anyway! Mind you who would want to go out in this weather? Its wet, very wet here, and very loud on the caravan roof oh well I think I’ll go back to sleep for a bit.
The day after Woodvale
I MUST tell you about yesterday, Sooooooooooooo funny! Mummy visited me in the caravan to let me out for a wee. I decided that I wanted to visit Daddy in the big tent. So I set off a break-neck speed with Mummy trying to catch me. Anyway there was an entrance at the back and an entrance at the front so I went in the back and Mummy thought I'd gone out the front, I hadn't of course I was simply saying hello to Daddy. It took her AGES to be able to speak afterwards - all that shouting really isnt good for her LOL!
Friday 20th (July)
At last! A chance to update all my fans!
Well here I am in Clayton le Dale (sounds very posh) and I had a lovely car journey down barking at all those traffic cones (they never moved they wouldn't dare, I'd 'ave 'em). Then when we got here Mummy had to drive that big caravan backwards a LONG way into a tiny space so I helped barking directions from the back of the car the whole time. She was VERY impressed (I THINK she was impressed anyway) I certainly helped take her mind off the man who was giving intructions like "left hand down a bit" She could hardly hear him apparently.
Then a "tame" rabbit came to say hello I wanted to chase it but Mummy wouldn't let me for some reason so I'm sat in here. It's gonna rain again - whoofee a chance to leave my footprints on the sofa later.
A Sunday in July
Hmmmmmmmmm . . . tired out, doing waaaaaaaaay too much all this security stuff don't half wear you out. I think I am the best travelled doggie in Britain though :O)
Monday
Hmmm it's been tough geting online this week - only one pc can be online at a time and Daddy DOES tend to hog it. Not really done very much this week anyway. Mummy and Daddy have been backwards and forwards to the bungalow moving stuff here and there. I have to say I DO like the new caravan though it is a bit hot at the moment . . . Here's a picture of me lying in the shade under the car.
Tuesday
Wow . . . woof . . . Wow . . . Great BIG, HUGE metal box AND my own bed!!! Thank you Mummy and Daddy. Wow . . . woof . . . so excited!
Monday
Daddy has finaly taken the photos of his phone camera. I thought you might like to see the best of them. I think I look very intelligent on some of them. There's also one of Mummy with a horse - I think Mummy is the one on the left *sniggers*.
This place is a real mess I don't know what's going on but you can't move for boxes now I don't mind it being untidy but I can hardly find anywhere to lie down!
The next Tuesdayish
Oh dear . . . it looks like I might have finally overdone it - I now have a cage in the back of the car. Its quite a big cage, and it's got one of daddy's old coats in it to make it comfortable, but I cant claw at the car windows anymore.
On a much happier note I saw Aunty Rosemary and Uncle Trevor this weekend they were in a big tent in the middle of a field - it was great fun running up and down in it until a lot of other people arrived and I had to do security in the caravan. Here's a photo of Daddy and Aunty Rosemary.
Tuesdadyish
Well that week went very quick. However I'm not in the mood for much writing tonight as it seems I'm in disgrace (again!!) I think I may have overdone the barking. Well I think traffic cones should be barked at! Mummy (who likes to give the impression that SHE is sweetness and light) got quite annoyed so I'm keeping my head down. I also had a go at this statue, (the Willow Man in Somerset) personally I think it deserves it (again mummy disagreed)
Monday Home again
I was RIGHT :O) Have been away on a farm near Stoke on Trent. Not too much fun for me tho'. The best thing that hapened was the farmer came to the caravan to collect payment for staying there (I went mad, gave him a good barking at). Daddy offered him a cheque and he wanted cash for some reason. So Daddy left him at the door and had to come back in and sort some money out. At exactly that time it started to pour with rain, very heavy and the poor farmer got very wet. The odd thing was that mummy had a vey odd smile on her face. I wonder about her sometimes :O)
Fridayish - somewhere between breakfast and dinner
I'm SURE we're off again. Mummy has been carying clothes out to the caravan. I keep jumping up at the front door - doing my bestest "we are going aren't we? I am coming aren't I? Can we go now? Now? Now? Now?" Hmmm no response but I've heard them, talking. I'm still sure we're going
Wednesdayish
Had an accident on the carpet this morning . . . nothing much else has happened.
Tuesdayish
Home.
Bored.
No grass to lie on, or new smells, (apart from Daddy's feet! *giggle*). No yellow Jackets to bark at.
The metal box is outside and it doesn't look like it's gonna be moving for a day or two.
Oh well I'll try and scrounge another choccie biscuit in a minute.
Thursday (8 days later)...
What a week, people just don't realise how busy I've been! Last Tuesday we went to the van in Crewe and first thing Wednesday we set off for Penzance. Some 360 or so miles later we arrived by when I had managed to bark at an average of a workman a mile, let's think, that's....woof, woof, woof, yes some 360 woofs! Actually it was much more as I have taken an occasional dislike to bikes, motorbikes and yellow lorries... now I'm even having nightmares about daffodils, hawthorn bushes and the occasional field of Oilseed Rape!
The field in Penzance was great, there was a single wire fence which I could run straight under so mum and dad kept me tied to the van until the four legged beasties in the other part of the field had been put to bed. The one time I did get under when they were there I had a good staring match with one of them and then his mate joined in so I tried to take them both on until dad spoiled my fun and shouted me back rather loudly! Anway never mind the bullocks . . .
Mummy read a lady at the show who was a dog-nail-and-hair-clipper or something. Anyway she was nice so thank you Aunty Clare my nails are much better now.
On Tuesday we went to the Bude area and found what mum and dad said was a really peaceful site. However, I'm not sure that's totally true as there were two sheepdogs living there and they seemed to think I was a sheep as they tactically tried to round me up. Anyway I mastered them both in the end and I think they got a bit cheesed off as they fell out with each other a few times.
Today we returned home, via Crewe where we dropped the van off ready for the weekend. It was a long journey and hot, but dad gave me plenty of water to keep my barking voice lubricated and I managed to see plenty of workers in high vis jackets again.... hee.. hee.. I'll let you know how Crewe goes next week.
Wednesdayish
Rightyho . . . been to Crewe, back home again, just for last night, we're off again later. Mummy seems quite excited about this trip, something about a wall of corn. As usual I'm on security. In fact I've just had a practice run, a lady came to read the electricity meter. I had the lounge door opened and scared her silly. Mummy was annoyed. I can't win.
Thursdayish
For me it's been a fairly uneventful week so I've not really had too much to report. My beans have been ever so busy putting their bits and pieces into cardboard boxes - as far as I'm concerned if you can't eat it, or chase it then its no use at all; however they, especially Daddy, has other ideas.
They got home last night (actually it was early this morning the dirty stopouts, they think I don't notice) moaning that the brakes (or something) had gone on the car. I like the car and am quite worried - I notice that it's not outside in its usual spot today hopefully it's being fixed.
Anyway, according to Mummy, providing the car re-appears we're off to Crewe tomorrow, hopefully we'll take that metal box down and maybe they'll put it on some grass for me to play on, I do hope so. By the way - thank you to the person who emailed and said they thought this part of the site was the dogs bloggocks . . . not sure what they meant.
Woof woof
Trixie
Fridayish
Well what a lovely day I've had. Mummy & Daddy had to take me in the car as security . . . I managed to bark at
5 pushbikes
7 innocent pedestrians
Loads of workmen on the M62 in those horrible jackets
3 high visibility lorries
2 Police cars (heheheh)
1 just decided to bark at nothing to Keep them on their toes :O)
Slept all the way home
Got home got fed, went back to sleep
As I said . . . a lovely day
Thursdayish
Thank you Aunty Rosemary at Holistic Heaven - nice to be appreciated for my help at Gawsworth :O)
My name is Trixie I live with, and take care of, my two humans, Derek (aka Daddy) and Jane (aka Mummy). I must admit I'm a bit fed up of mummy particularly hogging all the limelight when everyone knows that I'm the one that people are realy interested in. So I thought I'd give you my perspective on life with these two humans.
I haven't always lived with them. For a while I lived in a cage in a place where there where lots of other dogs and a few "beans" (human beans) it was ok but I spent a lot of time alone. Before that I lived with a horrible man who used to wear a high visibility coat and kick me a lot. I hate those coats and warn Mummy & Daddy whenever I see one - especially when I'm in their car Mummy thinks it's funny and Daddy gets a bit annoyed though I have no idea why. The other day he said something about them being "policemen you daft dog" not sure what he meant.
Anyway for the past few days I've been thrown from the back of their car into that metal box that they tow behind it, back into the car, back into the box and not really had much time to run around in the grass and smell lovely smells. They realy don't realise what hard work it is being me. Now they've got this crazy idea about getting a great big metal box and living in it, I think it could be fun providing there's lots of grass to run in.
Right now I'm going to climb onto my chair and go to sleep it's been a hard day. But I will write again soon and let you know what's happening.
